Tales of the Beekeeper: Huntington, Indiana, United States; My name is Cindy and I am the Beekeeper's wife. We have 2 children which I love dearly. And then there's all those bees. We started keeping honeybees in 1991. With only a couple of hives to pollinate the small orchard that we had planted on our land. I thought my husband was crazy (still think he is). After all our kids were small and they might get a few stings..well that has happened, but we all fell in love with the bees. Our tiny little lot of 2 hives has now grown to be the largest in the State of Indiana, running about 3000 hives. I also work outside of the home, about 20 hours a week, give or take a few.
